WAV files have no tags to read.

So I tried to "Select Audio" Imported FLAC files. So far so good. The titles looked good.
When I went to Mux to DVD it poped up a window and said

"The Format of the audio files (FLAC (24bits) | 48000HZ | |2ch) is not compatible for DVD/MPG. Please select MKV as output format.

If I was trying to put FLAC on a DVD I agree. This is not a DVD standard. All I wanted to try to have AudioMuxer do is extract the audio and read the tags. It reads the tags ok, but won't extract the audio from the FLAC's. I first have to Convert these FLAC's to WAV (different program) then import into AudioMuxer. Works but then I have %title% problems because WAV files have no tags.

Before I posted this I got a cue from you last post and tried a different approach. I first loaded the flac's into AudioMuxer's convert to LPCM and the tags were imported into the main window. The Muxing to DVD worked fine. ;)

Thanks,

Huckamazoo

I was looking into why muxman doesn't like DTS-MA Core DTS audio. It seems that the standard DTS frame rate is 2013 bytes. DTS-MA core DTS frame rate is 2016 bytes. Other discussions on DTS-MA Core audio discuss the having extra frame bytes. I can't 100% confirm this but here's another program that has DTS issues.

DVD Studio Pro will reject DTS files that are not formatted correctly.
One reason DTS files may not be accepted is because DTS encoders produce DTS streams that contain a frame size of 2016 bytes as opposed to 2013 bytes. This is an incorrect frame size and therefore will not be imported into DVD Studio Pro.

So what to do. Getting Muxman to fix the problem in their free version is not likely.

Another approach: Disguising DTS audio as PCM audio.

I took my DTS audio file and changed its file extension "file.dts" to "file.raw" and imported it into Audacity then exported it as a wav file. "file.wav" All this does is put a wav header on the DTS audio. When this is Muxed to DVD the header is removed and your back to Standard DTS. Muxman has no problem with this DTS wave file. It treats it like standard PCM audio. After making my DVD I still have the problem of the audio thinking its PCM. This is where INFOEDIT come in. I open the dvd in INFOEDIT and change the audio properties back to DTS audio. Save the new .ifo files and DVD knows it has DTS audio and plays back perfectly. :D

For those of you that have some problems using AudioMuxer with DTS-MA Core audio files this is the work around I have found. ;)

Thanks for this program, I was able to put my 7.1 files onto disc with it. Seemed to work flawlessly.

i have a request but first the off topic comment:

some DVDs that i have like DSOTM(Parson's version) have DTS from vide-ts folder(not audio-ts folder) that inform in the display of my receiver/decoder:
24b
i know that DTS Pro Encoder can encode DTS in 24b but i don't know how...
i need lessons, i tested few possibilities but i still get only 16b, and believe, DTS Pro Encoder sounds a little better than Surcode even in 16b!

..now the request: is possible to add in AudioMuxer the DTS Pro Encoder option?

cheers!
