Hello there! I downloaded the new version this afternoon, but after playing arround with it for a while I discovered that the channels are swapped.

There was this one song I was doing, which has some very specific effects in the left channel, but when I listened to it in SPEC 4.3 - ArcTan mode - I realized that this effect had moved to the rear right channel!

So then I opened an older layout with the earlier version of SPEC and sure enough the effect was back where it belongs, rear left!

So back to SPEC 4.3 again to see if I could find the problem myself. First I simply swapped the stereo left and right channels and that helped putting the effect in the right place. Then I swapped only the rear output from SPEC and that helped too of course and finally I swapped both the fronts and the rears (L-R > R-L, not the fronts to the rears and vice versa, of course!), and they all sound a bit diffrent, but since I have no idea what's under the hood, I'm not sure which is best in this case.

Other then that this is an amazing piece of software! Best I've ever played with. Thanks a lot for making this available!

 It looks like the rears are swapped

Still looking for the exact error but I can see there's a problem using the test tone.

It's only with the slice rears setting in ArcTan.

Still digging...

OK Blake71 you win the prize.

At LEAST 4 different people tested all these layouts and didn't catch this.

Take at look at the inside of ArcTan (right click on Spec, Group --> Expand, Right click on SPEC ArcTan, Group-->Expand):

And if you look carefully you can see the magnitude (orange ) output of FFT_0 (left) is connected to Orignial Right Mag In (OR Mag In) on the ArcTan Blend Controls, and FFT_1 (Right) is connected to OL Mag In (connections high-lighted in the above).

This needed to be that way for the old layout, in which ArcTan swapped things, because in that layout FFT_0 was right, and FFT_1 was left.

To fix a layout (alll four will need the fix) you would swap those two orange connections so it looks like this (changed connections highlighted):

Of course I'll post an updated package ASAP.

 Again, sorry for the mistake and thanks for finding it!

I see... probably wouldnt have noticed it myself if it weren't for the fact that I know this music very, very well. On the other hand, if I were to test something like this I would only use music I know very, very well. ;)

But with the screenshots you provided I think I can fix it now and thanks a lot for the fast response!
