Woody, Please try the attached. I tested it on windows 7 64 bit in an account with an apersand in the user name, and also tested in a regular account on XP SP2 (just to make sure I didn't break anything else). |

Hi this new version is confusing, how to take a cd & convert it to wav ? Your videos are old. Also this new version does not include the cue file parser for Z Automatic gain. |

hello Z, river and all there at sbu, you are all awesome. I have a couple of questions that have been bothering me since my sbu hookup. how does zag accomplish it's gain control? as it seems to me that it must be an adjustable volume normalization program. is that essentially the case? secondly the wrap rears feature, is that also a rear ch normalization? |

hey river, thank you, i thought so as for the zag, unfortunately that is why i don't use it, i see how it may be advantageous for some but i tend to be a purist. i also use slice almost exclusively as it just sounds cleaner to me, i can't quite put a handle on why, it just does, i have not updated to this version yet but i plan on it soon and i def donate $20 to you guys on every update as this program is the best around for our hobby, so keep up the excellent work. now as for the wrap rears feature am i to understand that it is more of a steering apparatus than a normalizing program? i don't use it as well because i like the rears to be more discrete from each other, but if it is just steering i may utilize it in the future. again thank you for all you do. kevin |

A different "river" checking in here. I think you're leaving a lot on the table by using only SLICE. In the early days of development I used SLICE most of the time, but ArcTan has come so far I can barely remember the last time I used SLICE. As for ZAG, I find it very useful. But as river161 said, we had a friend that tuned by ear exclusively and he turned out some decent mixes. |
