Just to confirm, is it pretty much impossible that we can get the meters within AutoV2 to recognize RMS levels that aren't in between the -10 to -40 dbs range? While I can deal with it, it would make things easier with both normalization of loud sources (where I need to utilize a program like SoundForge to accurately measure the RMS levels of louder tracks) and quieter passages of ambient-type albums, where rears may actually measure below -40 (but another track has a high peak, etc.) Just wondering... |

FWIW....the simplest change in range that I think would make workflow easier would be to increase it from the current range of -10 to -40 to something like -8 to -40. You're more likey, with a newer source, to find a song in which the average stereo RMS lies in the -8 to -10 range than you are to find a softer passage. If i can do this on my own, and you both think the effect on accuracy won't be too big, just let me know how I can do so. |

Hello I think I was able to get through the AutoV2 setup until the last step – the batch file reports; E:\001_music\JamesBrown The system cannot find the path specified. Access is denied (listed 16 times) * ******** Preset "Lengths_Gains.bprs" was created successfully Although, after the 16 "Access is denied" notes it says that the .bprs file was created I can't find it. It hasn’t been written to Plogue and I can’t find it when I search my computer. Can you offer some extra guidance? I have Plogue installed on C: and I keep my music on a RAID array E:, I moved the .csv and lengths.txt to a separate file on C:, re-ran the batch file and still get same batch response and no .bprs file to be found Thank You |

@ Murphman: What OS are you on (XP, Vista, Win7 64bit...)? Can you give the full listing? If you're on Win7, can you right-click on the bat file? You get a "Run as Administrator" option. Try that and see whether it still gives the same access denied problem. Note that I am still running on XP and cannot test the batch file on Win7 but I know some people who are running it on both Vista and Win7. Thanks. |
